What's New at Rats R Cool!

February-19-2008: The long awaited section on litter box training has been added to the FAQ/Trick Training page!!! Udates to the Feeding/Housing sections of the Rat Care page and a picture of my cage set up added to the girl's page. Also some new pictures added to the Visitor's Gallery, thanks to those who took the time to send in their pics!

December-14-2007: New picture added to the Visitor's Gallery!

December-10-2007: New picture of the girls added to the Welcome page. Ain't it cute?!

November-22-2007: Lots of new (and cute!) pictures added to the girls page. Plus two videos so you can see their cuteness in action!

November-21-2007: Some mighty cute pictures added to the Visitor's Photo Gallery. (If you'd like a picture of your ratties added just send it in!) The litter box training has been going well, I will hopefully have training info up soon!

October-16-2007: Well, I had some extra time today so I finished up the sections on quarantine, introductions, and socialization. I’ve recently started litter box training with my four girls so I will soon add a section on litter box training as well.

October-15-2007: Check out an interesting new article on the Myths and Legends page. Also coming soon to the Rat Care page- sections on quarantine, introductions, and socialization.

October-12-2007: I have decided to replace the Rat of the Month contest page with a Visitor's Photo Gallery. If you'd like to submit a picture of your rattie/s please send me an email! I've also done a little 'housecleaning' around the site.

September-29-2007: Please visit the new Rat Chat Forum! Since I get so many general questions, I thought a forum would be a good place to address issues and for visitors of the site to chat. Interested in being a Forum Moderator? Drop me an email for more info!

August-25-2007: Some big news...I have added another rattie to my family. Saki is a 12 week old black Berkshire. You can see some pictures of her in the Photo Gallery! I have also made some changes to the Welcome page by adding a section for rescue rats in need of homes.

August-15-2007: I've added a new page called "So You Want a Pet Rat?" Also updates to the FAQ and Rainbow Bridge page.

July-3-2007: I've made a new banner, feel free to take a copy! Just right click and save. For more banners check the Rattie Links page.

July-2-2007: New link on the Links page and an update to the Rainbow Bridge page.

June-28-2007: Updates to the Rat Care page. Also, I have adopted another rattie! A little blue hooded girl named Lana. New pictures are posted in the Photo Gallery!

April-15-2007: Welcome to the remodeled Rats R Cool website! Every page has been edited and updated in some way. Some pages have been moved or are gone entirely and new pages have been added. After nearly nine (yes, I did say nine!) years on the world wide web the RRC site was in need of a major overhaul, particularly since I must admit I have neglected it in the past few years.  As I have mentioned before, I maintain this website in my spare time and much has changed for me within the past nine years and needless to say the site has sadly suffered for it. I even briefly considered shuting down RRC, but decided to stick with it!  Even though I have not actively promoted it for years, RRC still recevies nearly 2000 hits a month (though that darn broken counter on the Welcome page doen't reflect it!) When I first started this site I got maybe 10-15 hits that first month it was online. RRC sure has come a long way since those early days when I hardly knew how to post a photo (now I am fairly good with HTML!) I would really like for the site to be like it once was---useful to new rattie owners and always up-to-date. I would also like to start the Rat of the Month contests again. Hopefully I am now in a position to make that happen.

As for my other major announcement- after several years of being without a furry rattie companion I have adopted two rattie girls- Rose, a beige and white bareback and Fiona, a black and white hooded. Be prepared for lots of cute photos!
